Wilson Gilberto Vásconez Martines is 40 years old. He lives in the Guaranda district in Bolívar province. Wilson is a member of a rural community Group Enmanuel. This community is located 45 minutes from the Cantón Guaranda capital in Bolívar province. There are 17 members in total, and it is an agricultural and livestock community. The people are indigenous and speak Quechua. Wilson works in agriculture to help his family’s economies. The crops that are most successful are maiz, broad beans and potatoes. He also works breeding animals, mainly pigs. He sells these products at home and and what he sows he sells in the principle market in Guaranda every six months. A big part of the culture is the carnival, which is celebrated every year in February. Wilson also does sport in the community and reads the bible. Wilson is seeking a loan to purchase goods for his farm work, mainly fertilisers. His goal is to generate good economic activity for his family. The challenges that he faces are problems with the weather and the diseases that affect his crops.

Mrs. Chheng, 29 years old, is a married woman and the mother of a young child who is enrolled in school. Her husband (he is pictured) has a small business where he sells many sets of cooking supply as mobility in and around the provinces of Cambodia. In addition, Chheng is an internal staff member working in a garment factory. Chheng finds that her husband’s produce sale trade is a very profitable one and it also provides the family with a good standard of living. Recently her husband has lacked a supply of cash to buy additional products to better meet the needs of his customers, so that is why Chheng pursues a loan.

Yahira Del Carmen Davila Rodriguez : Nicaragua

Yahaira Dávila Rodríguez is in charge of accounts payable in Managua’s Mayoreo market. She has two, school-age children under her care. She is married and has collaborated with CEPRODEL for 8 years, having received 10 loans during this time which she used for home improvements. The funds requested will be used to buy electrical wiring, breaker box, and labor costs to replace the electrical system in her home because the wires are in bad condition. Yahaira stated that thanks to Ceprodel’s funding she has security and better living conditions for her children.
